Welcome back from Winter Break! I hope you enjoyed the break as much as I did (minus getting my wisdom teeth removed). Below you will find important information regarding the field trip coming up this Friday and the “Homework Check-in” that was sent home in your student’s red folder this evening.
Field Trip Friday
This Friday we are planning to take a field trip to visit a few Milwaukie Businesses that work to keep our bodies healthy. There was a bus scheduling issue and the only way we will be able to attend this field trip is by being driven to the site by cleared parent and/or volunteer drivers. I apologize for this last minute change, and my hope is that we will still be able to attend the field trip. If you have already signed up to volunteer and are unable to drive, please email our field trip volunteer coordinators to specify. Thank you for your flexibility and assistance in this matter.

Homework Check-in
There was a “Homework Check-in” packet that was sent home in your student’s red folder today. This check-in packet included a checklist of homework expectations, a completed Riggs homework example, as well as a sample of your student's Riggs and math homework with my notes on them. Please take the time to review it with your student, celebrate their successes, and discuss goals for improvement. After you do so, please write “We’re making progress!” in your student’s planner so that I will see it. I will reward your student with two tickets for your efforts!
