Car Line Procedures

Car line Pick up Procedures (Rev. 9/5/2012)

1. Each family must notify us of where they will be picking up their child; from car line or from the side door.
2. If someone is picking up a child who is not on the Emergency contact form, you must call or send a note.
3. The person picking up should be prepared to show identification.

4. If we do not have a phone call or a note and the person is not on the emergency contact form, we cannot release.

5. If the people on your emergency contact list change, you must notify the office so we can release to a person who is authorized.

In order to make student drop-off and pick-up as safe and efficient as possible, please observe the following rules: 

• Arrival time is 7:45 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. with class starting promptly at 8:00 a.m. We do not offer before school care. Students should not be dropped off or left unattended before the classrooms open at 7:45 a.m. (or before noon for P.M. Kindergarten). 
• School is dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Students should not remain on campus unattended after 3:50 p.m. (AM Kindergarten after 11:40 a.m.). We do not offer after school care. Children may enroll in Homework Club or after school activities. You may check in the office for information on community options.
• Do not double-park in car line.
• Pull to the front of the line. Do not stop when you see your child. They will come to you after they are properly dismissed by their teacher. 
• Cell phone use is prohibited in the car line. This is a safety issue and against the law. Your full attention is required to move through the car line safely and quickly. Follow the directions of the traffic monitors.
• Any children remaining after 3:45 p.m. may be picked up at the school office.
• Be courteous and follow directions of school personnel.
• Please note that children should be under the supervision of a classroom teacher, parent, or special activity instructor at all times while on the school grounds. Children are NOT allowed to play unsupervised on school property while parents attend to school matters under any circumstances. 
• Please wait until car line is over to re-enter the building.

Note: Car line is not a good time to conference with teachers. Please make an appointment so they may give their full attention to your discussion.
